All of your work must completed according to the specific instructions
and must be turned in on time.
- Outline- use your notes to develop
an outline to guide the writing of your paper. We will have a brief lesson on this in class on Wednesday, May 5th. The outline must be
turned in with your final draft.
- Thesis- Turn your guiding question into
a thesis statment. This will determine the purpose of your paper. All of the information
you wirte must support your thesis. We will have a lesson on writing the thesis and the introductory paragraph on Wednesday,
May 5th.
- Peer Conference- May 10th- you will meet
with a peer to conference on your paper and make suggestions for revising. Revision will focus on improving ideas,
word choice, fluency of ideas, organization and support of the thesis. Focus is NOT on grammar, mechanics, spelling
or usage.
